Strand Palace FAQs | Check-in Times, Support, Transport
When can I check in?
Standard check-in time is after 3pm on the day of arrival.
Please be advised that on arrival we will authorise a payment of £25 GBP per night, in case of extra charges incurred during your stay. This will be automatically released after your departure if no charges are incurred.
When do I need to check out?
Standard check-out time is 11am on the day of departure. Late check-out is subject to availability and will incur the following costs
- £100 fixed rate until 3pm
- After 3pm 100% of best available rate applicable for the date of check-out
Is breakfast included?
All bookings made on a bed & breakfast basis will include breakfast. Otherwise, breakfast will be available at an additional charge subject to availability in the restaurant. Our breakfast is not suitable for guests with nut allergies as our kitchen is not a nut-free environment.
Are pets allowed at the hotel?
No animals are allowed in the hotel, with the exception of guide dogs.
I have a food allergy – can I dine in your hotel?
Please note Strand Palace is unable to cater to nut allergies as our kitchen is not a nut-free environment. All other allergies can be catered for. Please make us aware at time of booking.
Where are the nearest stations to Strand Palace?
The nearest main-line stations are Charing Cross (0.4 miles) and Waterloo (0.8 miles). The nearest underground stations are Covent Garden (0.3 miles), Charing Cross (0.4 miles), Embankment (0.4 miles), Leicester Square (0.4 miles), Temple (0.4 miles) and Waterloo (0.8 miles).
Is there a business centre in the hotel?
Yes, there is a business centre located on the ground floor.
Can i leave my luggage in storage before my arrival / after my check out?
The hotel does have a luggage storage where guests can leave their bags, free of charge, before and after check out. Luggage cannot be stored over night due to the capacity of the luggage room.
Where can I park near Strand Palace?
Does the hotel accept cash?
Strand Palace no longer accepts cash as a form of payment. All major Credit & Debit cards are accepted as methods of payment and deposit.
Can I book attraction tickets through Strand Palace?
You can book theatre, sightseeing and attraction tickets directly through us at the guest services desk, or through our website here.
Does Strand Palace take group bookings?

What is the hotel’s child policy?
We ask that every room has at least one occupant who is 18 years old or over. Children under 12 years old stay free of charge when sharing the bedding available in the room and are limited to the maximum occupancy of the room. Some rooms contain sofa beds suitable for one child. For babies, we can provide one cot per room (free of charge). Please notify us that you require a cot at the time of booking.
Can I cancel my booking?
Please call reservations on +44 (0)207 379 4737 to cancel your booking. Should you cancel or amend your arrival date after 6pm on the day prior to arrival, you will incur a cancellation charge for the first night of your stay. This will be automatically charged to the credit card provided to guarantee the booking. This cancellation policy does not apply for bookings made on the advance purchase offer.

What is the hotel’s security policy?
Strand Palace has 24-hour manned security and CCTV throughout public areas. Entrance to the hotel is restricted to guests after midnight. All rooms have deadlocks, self-closing mechanisms, peepholes and safes. As part of our endeavours to support guest safety and comfort, whenever possible solo female travellers (and other guests that may request it) are not allocated rooms with inter-connecting doors, situated on the first floor, at the ends of corridors or near fire exits.
